He Was My Brother Too…
My parents have lost a most beautiful son My grandparents are seeing them through, Even cousins seek comfort from family and friends. But remember, he was my brother too.
As much as you’ll miss him you will never know How special the bond was we shared, Of love and of mischief and of secrets held close About things only the two of us cared.
I know you may think we weren’t friendly at times We fought, we argued, we told, But when the going got tough and I needed some help He was there with a strong hand to hold.
Adults may confer and children may play And sisters have a bond their own, But the one God has called is more special to me Even without him I don’t feel alone.
I know we’ll all see him one day with great joy He’ll greet the thousands of people he knew, But I know he’ll save something special – only for me Because he was my brother too.
